Lauren Batiste Adams is an abstract painter whose work explores the quiet, clarifying presence found in nature. Working in oils and oil paste she creates contemplative pieces shaped by her practice of close observation - trees, water, and light translated into a language of color and gesture. Her work has been collected nationally in both private and public collections including Kaiser Permanente, Nordstrom, Emory Musculoskeletal Institute, and Galleria Park Hotel in San Francisco. She has collaborated with designers and brands such as Crate & Barrel and Erin Gates Design. Adams holds a BFA in Visual Art and studied with acclaimed landscape painter Lynn Boggess. Her studio practice is rooted in attention, solitude, and reverence for the natural world. She lives and works in a small town nestled among old hills with her artist husband and their cat.
